1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible

Bruce Springsteen previously owned this car from 1981 until Christmas of 1987 when he gifted it to Toby Scott, a recording engineer or mixer who contributed to over 18 of Springsteen’s albums.
The car underwent a rotisserie restoration in 2020, restoring it to the condition described in Springsteen’s song “Racing in the Streets.”
It was delivered to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio in August 2020, where it was exhibited alongside the surfboard Springsteen used to put in the car when heading to the beach in New Jersey.
Documentation includes a signed letter from Springsteen confirming his ownership, a statement from his mechanic detailing the acquisition, and a photo of the license plate the car had when registered to Springsteen.

Vehicle Features

Equipped with a 396 CI big block V-8 engine.
Has a 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter.
Originally painted Midnight Black during Springsteen’s ownership, it was restored to LeMans Blue.

Presented here is a Ferrari 308 GTS finished in Bianco over Nero leather with factory Boxer paint. This 308 has been under the same ownership for the last 18 years in California. Black sheepskin car covers from New Zealand with palomino color head rests are included in the sale. With recent extensive service, this Ferrari is ready to hit the road.

The Ferrari 308 is a V8 mid-engined, two-seater sports car manufactured from 1975 to 1985 that replaced the Dino 246 in 1975. The 308 is considered the most recognizable Ferrari ever produced, made famous by the hit series, ‘Magnum P.I.’. As such, it’s also arguably one of the most collectible Ferrari models on the market, specifically the Quattrovalvole. Only 3,790 QVs were produced between 1982 and 1985.

The current owner of this 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole acquired it in 2005 after its registration in New Jersey and relocation to California. Painted Bianco with beige leather interior, it boasts a 2.9-liter quad-cam V8 engine mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Features comprise a limited-slip differential, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a detachable roof panel, pop-up headlights, and a quad-exit exhaust system. Interior amenities include air conditioning, a gated shifter, power windows, and a Pioneer CD stereo. Recent maintenance in 2023 involved rebuilding the fuel distributor and warm-up regulator, replacing the speedometer sensor, tires, and fuel injectors, and flushing the brake fluid, along with oil changes for the engine and gearbox.
