Land Rover Defender 90

Part of our Private Collection, not for sale.

The Land Rover Defender is a line of British off-road cars and pickup trucks. It started out as the Land Rover 110 and was followed by the Land Rover 90 in 1984 and the new, longer Land Rover 127 in 1985. They were developed in the 1980s from the initial Land Rover series, which was introduced in April 1948 at the Amsterdam Motor Show. They always have four-wheel drive. The term ‘Land Rover’ no longer functioned as the name of a specific model after the introduction of the Land Rover Discovery in 1989; instead, it became the name of a broader marque. Therefore, the Defender 90 and Defender 110 were renamed by Land Rover in 1990. The Defender 130 replaced the 127.
