Built upon the standard Plus 4 chassis, the Plus-4-Plus was a limited edition, closed coachwork variant made with a fiberglass body shell. This USA spec example is 1 of only 26 that were produced globally.
Powered by a 2,138 cc inline 4-cylinder Triumph engine with twin Stromberg carburetors mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Additional specifications have been highlighted below.
Originally finished in Red paint when it left the factory in 1964, this + 4 + has since been refinished in Duck Egg Blue while retaining the original Black leather bucket seats. Classic Morgan charm can be found throughout the cabin to include a Brooklands steering wheel, black Smiths gauges, chrome-trimmed instruments, and lap seat belts. We have Peter Morgan’s 6’4′ stature to thank for the high ‘bubble top’ roof design, allowing for a comfortable entry, exit, and driving experience.
While the modern coupe styling was more of a deviation than devout Morgan aficionados cared for at the time of production, the Plus-4-Plus has since become an important piece of Morgan Motor Company’s long-standing history and remains to be a rare and covetable motorcar by today’s standards.
